As Higby mentioned, almost no vehicle access to most of them now, but still missing any cover from air, lol.

Another incentive, is its pretty much a live VR. You get 10,000 certs to start off with on any new character.

I installed the test server last night. I booted up Planetside, entered the VR, game crashed.

Booted up PS2. Enter VR. Crashed.

Booted up PS2 AGAIN. Enter VR. This time will be different. CRASH.

Booted up Planetside 2. Surely I won't crash 4 times in a row. Enter VR. CRASH.

I'm never getting anywhere near the testing room on the testing server again. Even the concept of it sounds unstable.



ANYHOW... I'm going to be there Friday for sure. Possibly tonight.

VR crashed for me as well 3 times. Didn't have issues on Indar for the short time I was flying around.

Live play on Indar resulted in so many crashes, almost all of them being at different/random times after validating my game assets and trying new characters, that I just gave up reporting and eventually stopped playing. Turnout appeared fairly low anyway. Hard to say if more people will show up Friday, though not if the crashes continue. It didn't appear as if the squad I was with was crashing as often, but most of them started to log of normally before I had a chance to ask.

I played for 2 hrs earlier with no crashes. I wonder what the deal is?

On another note, I really like the new map UI features (showing when gen is down for any base, showing progress meter without having to click a base, friendly activity screen)

Well, glad to hear it wasn't everyone, and most of the squad I was in seemed to be OK. I'll definitely keep trying during test times or when new content is pushed out to that server.


So apparently the VS MAX ability will include both fire rate AND a movement speed buff when active. They also confirmed a fast travel mode like PS1.

6:30 - MAX abilities explained coming next week
13:20 - Higby mentions battle rifles and scout rifles are getting a tuning pass next week.

New territory/lattice system on Indar, NS buggy, and detailed stats with new loadout screen in just over 2 weeks.
Sounds like item/camo previews and a few map updates like allies location, gen status, and cap times may be in next week. I'm not sure if the cap times will be in until they've released the non-influence style lattice territory system.
