Virrago is the new Community Relations person for PlanetSide. I'll paste details about him below. He posted this in the thread above:

Virrago's Upper-Ups are paying a lot of attention... but very quietly.
We did have a bit of a shakeup here, and reallocating staff took a few days. I am REALLY glad we have Virrago here for PlanetSide. Virrago is our top FPS player here (ask him for details; I'd never challenge him in any FPS game), and he is up for anything - this includes taking some of you on directly in battle.
I play PS as well (have done since launch), though I am not giving you my game name because I like to keep my kill to death numbers a little above embarrassing. I play Terran almost exclusively... apologies to that full NC Galaxy I blew up last week. =P
THE FUTURE...
We are not allowed to say ANYTHING about the future of PlanetSide and PlanetSide X/Next/2/Whatever... it's really hard to sit here in our bunkers, sitting on info, but those are the orders from high command. You'll. Just. Have. To. Wait. =)

There are many on the Community team that you are all familiar with. Paul “Virrago” Williams is most likely one of them. Virrago has worked as a Community Representative with many SOE games, including Star Wars: Galaxies, MXO, Infantry, Cosmic Rift and Tanarus, as well as our strategy games.
Eight months ago Virrago transitioned to the “dark side” of the Community Relations Team. What do I mean by that? For the last eight months Paul “Virrago” Williams has been the man behind the scenes for all Community tech/tools. You may still see Virrago from time to time on the forums or answering private messages, especially regarding forum bans and access issues. However, his main responsibility has shifted to taking care of the SOE Community Relations Team’s technical and tool needs.
Virrago is responsible for implementing and managing SOE’s Forum Moderation program, including training and evaluation of moderators for all SOE games. He also provides administration services for the forums, fielding access issues, including the evaluation and forwarding of disciplinary issues such as bans.
Virrago may be called upon to create a new forum or Player’s page. When deploying a new forum, he may coordinate with our Web developers or just create new forum features on existing pages. If a forum is not working properly, it is Virrago’s responsibility to track down the problem and coordinate with our technical staff to get it up and running. When it comes to the Player’s pages, he works with our Web developers to make sure the Community Team’s requests and concerns are a part of the development process.
Virrago also maintains the SOE Community Relations Team’s internal reference pages and tools. We have internal pages that are used to store process documents, calendars and other useful information for the department. We also have many tools that assist in our day to day jobs, ranging from forums administration to feature uploads. Virrago makes sure that the department can use these tools when needed. It is also his responsibility to manage the department’s expectations for new projects (forums and Player’s pages). Virrago’s role on the Community Relations Team is not as public as it once was, but is still as important. So when you see him online, make sure to say hello. I know he misses interacting directly with you all.

could be interesting.. if virrago is actually serious.
One thing off the bat that makes me wonder about that is that I think SOE is on PST, which means he would generally play PST prime time and TR has had some pretty bad hackers, you would think if you are from SOE and you see a hacker on you fill out a super appeal or text someone and they get banzored within 10-20 min.. |

SOE HQ is here in San Diego. PS is run out of this office so they are all on PST. I thought Gordo was in CS. They must be moving everyone all over the place.
