 About the server downtimes
This web/teamspeak3 server was offline most of the afternoon, and it's had some problems over the last few months. The problem was found today.
"As the tech was rebooting you, he found that your iboot was crashing and powering down your machine. He plugged your server direct to power and it was starting up again."
I was renting a piece of equipment that allowed me to power down / power up the server, it failed. Not just an obvious failure, it crapped itself infrequently and made it look like it was a problem either with the server farm's switch or my hardware engineering. I'm happy to report it was neither, and we shouldn't have issues like this any more.
Engineer victory dance!
