We need a new flow of battle between and in the continents, so I'm glad to see a new continent somewhere on the list, as well as continent locking. What I don't get is the order, and why Searhus isn't on the list first, hell, it's not there at all. I've seen a few various assets in the current client for that continent and we've heard plenty of chat over it, but it appears they've pushed it way back (EDIT: Smed tweeted here that it should be in the 6 month list). What I also don't get is why continent locking is first on the list when they've said, how many times, they don't want to do it with just 3 continents. I'll take anything to get players off Indar and shifting the battles around a little better, that's probably my primary request right now.

We have a decent number of old PS1 players playing now, or waiting to play. When you ask for more "meta-game," what are you going to push for or request?

for those of you that aren't students of gaming lingo (winks at OBD). Metagame refers to the OVERALL strategy of a game. At its root, it refers to any aspect of strategy that involves thinking about what your opponent is thinking you are thinking.

Knowing how to play the game Texas Hold'em is simple, knowing how to think about what your opponents are doing and making your moves accordingly, is the metagame of Hold'em.

By your definition Fed, there is ZERO metagaming inPS2. There is zero strategy really in ps2. Shoot everything, and those with the greatest number win.

and this has been the biggest criticism from true PS1 vets.

Looking back, it appears the resource system was really suppose to cover this, but it failed so terribly. Instead of trying to make it something we really give a crap about, they started adding old ps1 mechanics like base benefits, continent benefit locks, and are thinking about locking continents down and adding more continents we won't fight on. Indarside!

May - Resource Revamp
Our primary goal for re-addressing the resource system is to make sure it does a better job making resources drive the combat taking place, make sure they have real strategic value, and generally have more meaning than they have currently.

We're still discussing and debating the best ways to handle this on the team, so we're eager to hear your feedback on how we can make the resource system more compelling.

There are plenty of ideas going around in the thread for that. Here is the first video posted someone made if you have a few minutes to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uganPzKvlIg

By the way, Smed tweeted here that Searhus should be in the 6 month plan.
